This is a jacket I knitted to match the dress I made for my granddaughter, Milly. ( The photo is somewhat out of focus, I’m afraid, for which I apologise.)

Your jacket is wonderful and you are so fast. I also love your blog on your dying garden.
I love all the shades of purple. It is so difficult to match purple tones and the natural dye does a wonderful job, with your help of course…beautiful outfit…I want one too please.
Beautiful, the dress, too. Not sure if I ever commented directly on that post or not. Such lovely shades.

Thanks so much for the clubmoss recipe — I have a pound of dried Lycopodium clavatum. 40 degrees (104 F) — low temps like that to be held for days is another incentive to get into solar dyeing. No fossil fuel use or boil-over worry would compensate for any other inconveniences. Need to make more than one solar cooker anyway — not that 40 degrees requires so much.
